Viewing and using your file cart for download or e-mail
To view and access your file cart to download or e-mail your files, you need to look, as illustrated in the image below.

Once you are ready to download the files present in your Downloads Cart, by clicking on "Click here to view your downloads" link underneath "Your Downloads" title, and then either click the 'Download Files' link or enter your e-mail address in the box provided and click 'Send'. The former will display a 'Save as…' dialogue box from which you can choose where to save the files on your system, whereas the latter will simply email the files to the address supplied.

Your selected files will be transmitted in the format of a WinZip archive (.zip). This will increase the speed of downloading due to a smaller overall file size and will make the files easier to handle, as only one file needs to be used. This does mean you will need to have WinZip (or StuffIt Expander for a Macintosh) installed on your system to unarchive the files and it is available as a free, quick and easy download from their site.

All text documents are saved in Microsoft Word for Windows (ver. 6.0/95) format and all pictures are saved in JPEG format.

Help with Downloading pictures and saving them
The images contained on this web site can be downloaded and used for viewing and printing.

You can save the image to disk without displaying it on your browser. PC, put the mouse over the thumbnail link, then click the right mouse button and a menu will appear with the option 'Save target as' or in early versions of Netscape 'Save Link As'. Select this and another box will appear asking you where to save the file. Select a location and click OK. Macintosh, hold down the 'Control' button to produce a pop-up menu, select the item 'Download Link to Disk' and another box will appear asking you where to save the file. Select a location and click OK.

Alternatively you can select the link and wait for the large version to completely download on to your screen. Then on your browser menu click on 'FILE' then 'SAVE AS' and select a location to save your picture file.

The high-resolution versions of the pictures are in JPEG (.jpg) format and are scanned at 300dpi resolution.

PLEASE NOTE:
Some older versions of Internet Explorer will try to save the images as bitmaps (.bmp) If this happens let the picture download then from your picture editing software open it as a bitmap and then to convert to a jpeg .jpg) click on 'FILE' then 'SAVE AS', select '.jpg' from the available file formats. This will convert the file to a jpeg.

Please make sure you have the most recent version of your browser software.

In order to view a document created in the PDF format you must first have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Once installed, the software will automatically start each time a PDF is opened on your system or the web.

Where can I download Adobe Acrobat Reader?
Adobe Acrobat Reader is available from the Adobe website. The software may be dowloaded free of charge for a variety of platforms, including Mac, Unix and Windows. The size of the download will vary according to the operating system you are running.
